Behind Bars

The cold, gray walls trap you. Time stretches. Each day feels the last: a monotonous routine punctuated by rations and patrols. Communication with the outside world is restricted. Hope becomes your constant shadow. You scramble for meaning in this restricted existence.

You try to keep your mind. There are glimpses of humanity: a helpful guard, a fleeting conversation with another prisoner, the seldom seen kindness of a family member. But these moments are short-lived, quickly swallowed by the brutal reality of prison life.

The weight of your past bears down you. Redemption feel like distant, elusive aspirations. You contemplate if you'll ever truly escape, not just from the bars, but from the mental prison that enfold you within.

Conviction and Consequence

A faith is a potent thing. It can fuel actions, ignite passions, and direct prison us toward our goals. However, each conviction carries with it an inherent burden. If one think that barrier can hide conversations, believe again. Walls, including any other objects, are often of listening. Ancient stories warn us that walls have ears, and despite this may seem as if a legend, the fact is often unsettling.

  • Especially, walls themselves can contain the echoes of earlier events.

So, be careful about what you reveal near walls. They may be paying attention more than you suspect.

When Innocence Fades

The world once held/presented itself as/appeared to be a canvas of wonder, where each day was a new adventure/discovery/experience.
